Lenovo out IdeaCentre D400 Home Server and Q100/Q110 nettops via Twitter

In a welcome change from reams of press release to wade through, Lenovo have tipped their upcoming home server and nettops via Twitter: 140 characters of spec-free mystery.  The IdeaCentre D400 home server and IdeaCentre Q100/Q110 nettops are yet to make an appearance on the Lenovo US site, but according to the company will get an announcement sometime this week.  However that hasn't stopped details from popping up across the web.

EMTEC G-Box nettop: Ion, they say, but no HDMI

Eagle-eyed nettop watchers will note that we've already seen EMTEC's G-Box quite a few times here on SlashGear, albeit wearing different branding.  Based on Pegatron's reference design, EMTEC say the the G-Box uses NVIDIA's Ion graphics chipset, which would suggest it's a version of the Cape 7, but the VGA rather than HDMI port is more like the lower-powered Ultra Slim.

Pegatron Vivid netbook: Tegra, 1080p and shortcut keys

It doesn't take much to differentiate your netbook, what with most sharing the same hardware, so Pegatron have managed to surprise and delight by slapping Yahoo!, Google, MSN and Skype keys on their Vivid prototype.  To be honest, though, they didn't need to bother: all they needed to highlight was the fact that this is one of the rare machines with NVIDIA's Tegra chipset.

NVIDIA's Tegra may be stealing MID-lover's hearts at Computex 2009, but that doesn't mean the company is forgetting about their Ion GPU.  Taking to the stage with news of a full 21 Ion-based devices - including the ASUS Eee Top ET2002 all-in-one, ASRock ION 330 and MSI Wind Top AE2201 - NVIDIA revealed a mixture of mainboards, all-in-one desktops, netbooks, nettops and notebooks based on the 1080p-capable chipset.

Pegatron Ultra Slim Atom nettop to use SiS HD graphics not Ion?

Further details on Pegatron's Intel Atom-based nettop have emerged, courtesy of SiS, and they seem to suggest that the compact PC will not, in fact, use NVIDIA's Ion GPU.  Instead, the Pegatron Ultra Slim Atom Nettop will use the SiS672/968, a low-power chipset that includes high-definition capable graphics and support for two SATA 3Gbps drives.  Pegatron will bundle that with the 1.6GHz Intel Atom 230 processor and up to 2GB of RAM.
