LG Optimus Pad a Barcelona lock-in; Honeycomb ahoy!
LG has confirmed it will be launching the European version of its T-Mobile G-Slate, the LG Optimus Pad, at Mobile World Congress 2011 later this month. The launch - expected to be alongside the new LG Optimus 3D - was announced in a Korean press release, with specifications for the slate expected to fall in line with those of its North American counterpart.

Honeycomb, Galaxy Tab & the 7-inch stumble
It’s hardly been a good week for Samsung. Not only has the company been forced to backtrack on its Galaxy Tab sales figures, admitting it was counting vendor shipments rather than end-user purchases, but return rates are also said to be far higher than expected. Considering the Galaxy Tab has been the poster child of Android slates so far, it’s an embarrassing showing against the nigh-unstoppable Apple iPad. Question is, was it Froyo that scuppered the Tab – a smartphone OS asked to do tablet duties it simply couldn’t fulfil – or is 7-inches simply the wrong size? And, with Honeycomb fast approaching, can Google’s new OS turn the tide?
LG G-Slate makes second video tease; ports & flash on show [Video]
LG's G-Slate got a teasingly brief show on-stage with T-Mobile back at CES 2011, then flashed its 3D camera array in a K-Pop music video, and now the tablet has cropped up again online. MysteryGuitarMan has managed to acquire the Honeycomb slate but seems reluctant to do more than just whip it in front of the camera while talking about 3D.

LG G-Slate, Dell Streak 7, and Samsung Galaxy S 4G Release Dates
T-Mo News has leaked an image showing the release dates for four major T-Mobile products including the LG G-Slate, Dell Streak 7, and Samsung Galaxy S 4G. The Motorola Cliq2 was included in the image, although it was released back on January 19th.
