We've been given the opportunity to take a hands-on look at CTIA 2011 at the HTC EVO 3D and its announcement partner, the EVO View 4G. The following is an account of what we saw in the HTC EVO 3D - a device that can not only show off all sorts of wild 3D content without the aid of glasses, it can capture content as well. This isn't the very first device to be able to do this, and it's not the first object to be able to do this at this size, but it IS a rather fabulous looking bit of competition for this ever-growing 3D game, whether you think it's a real trend or not!

HTC EVO 3D Revealed at Sprint Event [CTIA 2011]

At a utterly lovely Sprint media event at CTIA 2011, gold and yellow tones abound, Sprint has announced what they hope will be a heavy contender in this massively competitive 2011 season for Android. It began with a lovely floaty Andy video in full 3D, showing him float about, transforming things from flat to 3D. It was instantly apparent that the device would be the next step in the EVO line. The first announcment was the HTC EVO 3D, the first 4G device with a dual-core and 3D capability with no glasses needed.

HTC EVO View 4G and EVO 3D get early Sprint sign-ups

Sprint look to be readying quite the range refresh at CTIA 2011 this week, with the Nexus S 4G already announced (check out our preview here) and premature confirmation of the HTC EVO View 4G tablet and HTC EVO 3D smartphone courtesy of the carrier's site. The glasses-free dual-core Android smartphone and the WiMAX-enabled HTC Flyer each get a shiny new sign-up page for more release information.
