Bang & Olufsen Beo6 Home Theater System Remote Unveiled

One day before Christmas, and Bang & Olufsen have decided to introduce a brand new home theater system remote. The new model, called the Beo6, is a replacement for the Beo5. And, as you might expect, brings new features along for the ride. Most importantly, though, is the added WiFi connectivity. The remote is unique in its design, as B&O have stuck a square display with soft-touch keys, on top of a round ball that features its own hardware buttons, along with a volume wheel.

ASUS' last collaboration with Bang & Olufsen resulted in the distinctive NX90; with the notebook manufacturers new N Series machines, it seems they relied only on B&O's audio skills and left their own designers in charge.  The new ASUS N53JN and N73JN - with 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch displays respectively - get Intel Core i3 or i5 processors, NVIDIA Optimus graphics and, of course, the B&O developed ASUS SonicMaster audio.

With what must be a strong candidate for the longest press release of 2009, Audi have launched their new flagship, the Audi A8.  Since we usually save our interest in cars for only the most outlandishly technical or geekily endearing, the new A8 earns its place by bolstering its multimedia interface (MMI) with handwriting recognition, an optional 1,400W Bang & Olufsen audio system, twin 10.2-inch displays for the rear-seat passengers, and a 20GB hard-drive for digital media.
