When it’s time to get up in the morning, I’m one of those people that hits snooze a million times. I just can’t help it. I like my sleep. But when you absolutely must get up, one of the best ways to force yourself out of bed is to place the alarm clock across the room. But for those that don’t feel like tripping over shoes while stumbling to shut the thing off, there’s the Hanging Alarm Clock.

Apparently, the alarm clock hangs to your ceiling by a cable, and when it’s goes off, it will wind up the cable like a yo-yo and continue to wail. It will actually sit up at your ceiling and continue beeping until you stand up and grab it.

Call me crazy, but isn’t this going to require a step-stool or something? That’s just what people need to do: climb on furniture while in the haze of sleep. But in all seriousness, you can hit snooze by pressing the button on the top before it reaches the ceiling. However, you will have to shut the device off all the way or else it will start its ascent once more. The alarm apparently is in the sound of a siren and shines a bright white light. Fun? There’s never a short supply of alarm clocks that challenge the standard idea of an alarm clock and increase the potential to annoy you. But the Money-Saving BanClock literally puts price on snooze.

This alarm clock makes you insert a coin into it before you can turn it off or hit snooze. Apparently, you can save up a pretty penny this way, and the alarm clock will hold up to $25 in quarters. However, I can’t imagine anyone willingly doing this each and every morning.

There are all sorts of alarm clocks out there meant to wake you up with loud buzzers or what have you, but never have I seen one that interacts with other devices to thoroughly ensure you get out of bed.
