Tachyon XC Micro is world's smallest helmet camera

We have talked about the cool helmet cams from Tachyon before, like the 3D version the company unveiled back in September. Tachyon has now unveiled a new helmet cam that it claims to be the world's smallest called the XC Micro.

The tiny little cam measures 3.8 x 1.4 x 1.8-inches and weighs only 3.7 ounces. The camera uses a mount that can connect to the dash, helmet, goggles, and other locations to capture video. Video is recorded to microSDHC cards up to 32GB.

The cam features a high-dynamic image sensor and a 90-degree wide-angle lens. Power is from a set of AAA batteries promising four hours of recording per set. The camera is waterproof without needing an external case. Video resolution is 640 x 480 at 30 frames per second. The camera sells for $99.99 until the end of November with shipments starting mid-December.
