T-Mobile USA suspended sales of the T-Mobile Sidekick Slide earlier this evening, November 16, after Motorola confirmed that some Sidekick Slide might inadvertently power off when the slide door on the front of the phone is opened or closed.
As of right now, Motorola is clueless as to the root cause of the power cycle issue, but they’re doing everything humanly possible to get to the bottom of this problem.
Sidekick Slide owners experiencing the unintended power cycle issue should contact T-Mobile Customer Care, or run to the nearest T-Mobile retail store, for help and to discuss available options (hmm, maybe not buy another phone made by Motorola?)

Ha I knew it…sidekick is junk lol. Motorolla…make some better designs and some huge leap into better technological advancement please -.-;;

i have it in my hands right now and i am heartbroken that its messed up!! i loved this thing! its tiny and purple! i had been anticipating to get it for months! and now i have to return it =(. it is true how it shuts off on its own after you’ve slid the screen up or down…but it has to be a hard slide for it to shut off, which is something u cant help to do! goodbye sexy slide…at least t-mobile is willing to send me an LX instead on express shipping w/o having to pay the $100 extra charge. god damnit motorola!!

I really feel for you JStar, next time when you about buying something that have to do with MotoCrapiolla aka Motorola, think AGAIN! Moto is the worse company in the world IMO

The slide is the first sidekick I ever bought and it sucks that its messed up its a great phone just not all put together glad tmobile lets us get the lx but it sucks that we wont be allowd to have the slide when it comes out w/o havin to pay fll price

I had the Sidekick Slide……..I had the problem too…it only happened whenever i was outside in the cold weather or just came in from cold outdoors…….so my theory is it happens if the environment was cold….

im from the uk and the slide has just came out ova here so i eventually got mine for christmas mine has no problem with this freeze thing tho my brother was outside the utha day and it happened but its soooooo cold ova here so i think it is just to do with the weather …but i love my sidekick :P x

i got the skslide begining of march after my sweet 16. i love it. i chosse it over the lx cause the lx looks like i coould snap it in half =o but ya i love my skslide other then the fact that when i turn it off i lose all my contactss and texts but whatevess i never hve to turn it off ne more =] love ittt

I agree that the sidekick slide sucks im holding it right now but does any1 know if I can get another phone 4 the same price without the reciept
