If you follow the link at the bottom of this page you can pick up an 8GB iPhone that’s been refurbished for $249. For those not too great at math, that’s a savings of $150.
Now, I know that if you’ve waited this long to buy an iPhone, you’re either waiting on more storage capacity or you are waiting on the 3G iPhone. Regardless, at a price this cheap, it might be worth considering buying it anyways just to hold you over until the iPhone you want comes out, which could be a while.
Personally I’ve been holding out for the 3G iPhone, but with a price this low, even I’m considering buying one until the 3G version comes out. If nothing else, it’d be a great time to buy one and get in on the iPhone development program, or the JailBreak Development Program which is slightly less restrictive I hear.

Hah, the dev teams are jail-breaking the new firmware before it’s even released. The whole model is broken of course because if you have physical access to the hardware, no amount of software is going to prevent you from doing what you want with it.
If you’re holding out for 3G, I would not jump on this deal even though it’s $100 less than the deals on Apple’s site. Wait until June to and see what happens…refurbs will always be available on ATT and Apple’s site.
Actually looks like AT&T has pulled or run out of any iPhone Refubs. None found on their site.
The refurb was available on AT&T’s site a few days ago, but the link leads to a blank page now. I called two local AT&T stores in the Bay Area last week and one said they don’t sell refurbished phones, the other one said they’ve been told the refurbished iPhone will arrive at their store in two weeks. I’m also holding out for the 3G…will wait till June to see what happens.
