So we’ll give you the fact that since Sceptre is a brand you probably haven’t ever heard of, they might not be on par with LG, Sony, or Samsung. But, for $1299 it sure is a fairly cheap way of gaining entry into the big-screen full HD market.

Not only are they cheap, but they are available at a brick and mortar Costco near you, so if you want you can drive on down and see what they look like now. It is actually retailing for $1599 but there is a $300 rebate.

The contrast ratio is a respectable 8,000:1, and has a load of inputs. Here is the list of inputs, 3 HDMI ports, 2 component, 2 composite/S-video, and a VGA input for connecting a computer. Oh, and it has 4 built in speakers that support SRS TruSurround XT. Get yours before August 12th as that’s when the offer ends.

I thought this was only an online offer. Can I pick it up at Costco and save the $95 shipping fee?

Not available at the costco store, only on internet. Just purchased (2) and expect to receive them on 15th. All info sounds to good to be true for $1299.
Already distributes on the contrast ratio and the response time. Son has the 37 inch Naga and really like it until recently issues with remote and bans on the side of LCD screen. It is only 8 months old with very very very limited usage.

    Anyone received the set yet?
