Samsung's new curved monitors priced for May

Samsung's latest curved monitors want to take your display to the next level. These could be a great boon for gamers out there. The curved screen creates an immersive display to really "get in the game." PC gaming is having a moment, as "let's play" and Twitch TV are making it easier for everyone to share gaming experiences. Samsung's new line of curved monitors join the SE790C which it unveil at this year's Consumer Electronics Show. By adding 4 new curved monitors to its line up, Samsung is giving customers more computing (and PC gaming!) options.

The curved screen isn't just captivating, it's designed to be easier on your eyes than a traditional monitor. Apparently, because the edges of these monitors curve towards the viewer, they match the eye's natural curve so users shouldn't have to shift their focus at the edges of the screen. Samsung's Eye Saver Mode lowers the amount of eye-straining blue light output and its Flicker Free technology prevents flickering, which can easily tire eyes.

The curved monitors offer a Game Mode which improves dark scenes, like Skyrim, and its 4-millisecond response time virtually eliminates motion blur in fast-paced scenes. The monitors all have a static contrast ration of up to 5,000 to 1, creating darker blacks and more vibrant images. This makes the monitor a good choice for streaming movie marathons or graphic design.

Samsung first introduced a line of curved TV's and is now offering four different sized curved monitors to suit your desktop computing needs. Samsung's black-framed SE590C is 31.5 inches and will retail for $599.99 USD. The SE591C is 27 inches with a white frame and will sell for $399.99, and the black SE510C is available in both a 27-inch and a 23.6-inch size priced at $299.99. Samsungs curved monitors will be available in stores May 2015.
