So you’ve seen SlashGear’s pictures of the sexy twisty foldy super-thin Samsung SPH-P9000, now you can watch the videos.  First off, here’s an introduction by Samsung’s execs with a little bit about how WiMax – with its high upload as well as download speeds – is so important:

Secondly, here’s a more hands-on, close-up look at the P9000, including footage of it booting up into Windows XP.  The voices you can hear are the lovely Judie Hughes from Gear Diary and our very own Vincent Nguyen:

This could be a killer product, if enough people can get over the sub-$2000 expected asking price.  Maybe there’s some room for carrier subsidisation, considering you get the cellphone in the package too?

The device comes as a kit with a cell phone designed to plug into the right side and a video I just saw said it was sold for under $2,000 US and may start selling in us sometime in the first half of 2007?

I hope so as I have been waiting over 6 years for a computer with a real keyboard that will fit in a jacket pocket!

I don’t think this will fit nicely in a jacket pocket Doug. Also, the device will be tied to Sprint’s WiMAX network – so that being said it’s vapor ware until WiMAX is up and running.

Also, I think the price will change a lot in a years time not to mention carrier subsidizing the cost of the device.
