All eyes may be on Samsung’s latest 10-inch netbooks right now – the N110, N120 and N310 – but we shouldn’t forget the company’s VIA Nano marvel.  The Samsung NC20 is a slightly larger machine, at 12.1-inches WXGA, and uses the VIA Nano U2250 1.3GHz processor; it’s now on sale at Newegg, priced at $549.99.

Your $550 gets you a 1280 x 800 display, 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard-drive and a 6-cell battery that should manage well in excess of 4hrs runtime.  We also know, thanks to early reviews, that’s it’s another great success for the Samsung netbook team; benchmarking may lead to conflicting results against Atom-powered rivals, but everyday performance can’t be faulted.

Other specs include WiFi b/g, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, three USB 2.0 ports, VGA, audio in/out and 10/100 ethernet.  There’s also a 1.3-megapixel webcam, 3-in-1 memory card reader and VIA Chrome9 HC3 IGP graphics.  The whole thing measures 11.5 x 8.5 x 1.2 inches and weighs 3.3lbs.
