Razer shows off new special edition Naga Maelstrom and Molten MMO gaming mice

Oct 6, 2010

Razer has been making some slick and cool gaming peripherals for a long time now. Back in August, the company pulled the wraps off its latest gaming mouse with the Naga that has tons of buttons and was aimed at the MMO gamer. Razer has now announced a couple special edition Naga mice for gamers.

The new special editions include the Naga Maelstrom and the Naga Molten Special Edition. Functionally the two new special edition mice are the same as the original. They have 17 buttons that feature macro capability, 5600dpi resolution, and the color scheme of the special edition mice is much cooler than the plain black of the original.

The Maelstrom version has what Razer calls a "whirlpool of entrancing blue light" and has blue backlighting behind the buttons and the scroll wheel. The Molten edition has a cracked lava looking finish with red backlighting for buttons and the scroll wheel. Either of the special edition mice will set you back $79.99 and they will ship globally in November.
