PSN is down, it's not just you (again)

The PlayStation Network is down and Sony isn't sure when it'll be back up again. It's time to speak with your significant other again. It's time you found out how many children you have running around the house. It's time to speak with your tax representative. The PlayStation Network is experiencing issues in Account Management, Gaming and Social, PlayStation Now, PlayStation Video, PlayStation Vue, PlayStation Store, and PlayStation Music at this time. If you're checking off your checklist of PSN services, that's the whole lot.

Affected platforms include PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PS Vita, the web, and "other". According to Sony, "You may have some difficulty signing in or creating an account on PlayStation Network." They go on to say that their "engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience."

PlayStation Plus will add half a dozen games next Tuesday

That's the status as of this afternoon at 2:48 Central Time. So it's not like this issue's error messages are appearing earlier in the morning, nearing completion now. Nay! We're still in the midst of this madness!

This error was acknowledged as of three hours ago (approximately 12-noon Central Time) by the Ask PlayStation Twitter account. This means that the errors and down-time likely started earlier this morning. Stick around and fiddle with SlashGear's PlayStation tag hub while you wait for redemption.
