PlayStation 4 supports used games

Well, Sony just nailed this one on the head. After Microsoft announced the all new Xbox One there has been countless complaints and discussion about the entire ecosystem. Talk of used games not being supported, always-on connections, and people getting their tinfoil hats and more. Sony just cleared up any possible doubt with the PS4. Yes, Yes the Playstation 4 will support used games. No matter what.

This is quite possibly the biggest news hands down out of their entire keynote and event we've been watching the past few hours. Talk about death to the Xbox None. Sony revealed that once you buy a game, you can do as you please with it. Share with friends, borrow it to a buddy, you name it. That's big. Real big.

Not only will the PS4 support used games, but there will be zero restrictions from what we understand. You won't require a connection to authenticate the game, or any game for that matter. And sharing with friends will be a breeze. You can trade them in with Gamestop (they instantly sigh) and do as you please. You bought it, do what you want.

They also mention connection. The Playstation 4 won't be always-on, always listening, and always connected. You can choose. If you just want to play single-player campaigns you can do so with ease. Unlike the Xbox, you won't be required to sign-in online and authenticate every 24 hours. They're taking jabs at Microsoft here, and with good reason.

PS 4: It won't stop working if you haven't authenticated. You are free to do what you want with your games. Oh, and Watch Dogs looks amazing. Continue reading all of the coverage from our Playstation 4 Portal. Last but not least enjoy the comical video below.
