Plants vs. Zombies has been around for a while and has proven to be a popular game on multiple platforms. PopCap Games has announced that the latest game in the franchise is now available for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. The game is called Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare.
PopCap announced in November 2013 that Garden Warfare would be landing on the Xbox consoles in the spring. That spring launch date was this week, and the game is now available for download. Garden Warfare lets the player battle plant or zombie enemies by choosing sides.
The game offers a range of weapons and should have good graphics thanks to use of the Frostbite 3 engine. The game will have some of the favorite enemies from the PvZ series like the Ice Cactus, Hot Rod Chomper, and others. Three modes are offered in the game including two 12 v 12 competitive multiplayer modes.
Those modes are called Garden & Graveyards and Team Vanquish. A four-player co-op mode for smaller teams is available as well called Garden Ops. The game is highly customizable and has lots of items, costumes, and other content that can be unlocked to customize the characters. Garden Warfare will be offered for PC gamers later, PS3 and PS4 gamers appear to be out of luck.
