We know that Sony has been kicking around the idea of introducing a PS3 with a larger hard drive, but it seemed like it was going to be a few months off. However, a new 80GB PS3 has apparently shown up in the wild.

According to the picture, the new PS3 with the 80GB hard drive has a new model number, 98004. That aside, it looks to be the same as any other PS3. I will say that the photo does look rather convincing.
Now that we’re almost sure that they are going to release an 80GB model, it raises the question of pricing. Sony has already announced that they won’t be cutting prices. So how much would you pay for an 80GB PS3?

Oh that’s a good question . . . hmm a good price for a console . . I would think that would be anywhere between $100 all the way up to $500 . . .
Anything over $500 is just crazy – there’s no market for that . . .

Why does it seem like every time a game company comes out with something sony is always trying to copy them as soon as they can?

So.. MS copying Sony with HDMI, and HD-DVD addon isn’t copying then.. that must be just something different. Lame little fanboy.

PS3 sucks Grover . . much like your name – But I digress . . .
How’s that ported Friday Night Fight? Sucks don’t it . . . cell can’t handle the 360’s graphical prowess.
You should be ashamed of your console.

All u little xbox fans can take ur xbox and flush it down the toilet the king has arrived if u look at the specs the ps3 is miles ahead of the xbox 360 all sony has to do is get some good exclusive titles for it so it can destroy that circular box.
