For those of you who don’t know it yet, we have another site in our network, OnCentro.com, its dedicated to the new Palm Centro that has been released exclusively on Sprint’s network for 90 days. They won’t stop selling them after 90 days, but that’s when the exclusivity ends. Well, we got our hands on one of this nifty little devices and reviewed it.
So lets run through it real quick, it has a QWERTY keyboard, a touchscreen with stylus, a microSD card slot that supports up to 4GB of storage, a 1.3MP camera, and EV-DO. Furthermore its available in multiple colors, has an included messaging app, works with Sprint’s OnDemand service, and all that fits into a 4.3×2.1x.74-inch package.
It runs on Palm’s OS version 5.4.9 so if you are a previous Palm user, it should be at least moderately familiar. Its small, damn small for a smartphone, but they are targeting this device at fat fingered business people that their entire Treo line is targeted at, with a $99 (with 2 year contract) price point for the device, the multiple shiny colors, and the compact size, its clearly targeted at a younger generation with much nimbler fingers. Overall I think the guys who reviewed it liked it so far, they will have more to come after they have had time to better review the device.

Ohh noo!! I didn’t know it had a touchscreen!!!! I thought it was merely another Q or BlackJack. It’s cute, smart AND small? I want one!!! Stupid recently bought 8125 w/2yr contract…I despise you!!!

i presume you are referring to the picture quality of the camera on the phone, and if that assumption is true, check out this article where i actually posted a picture from the phone, and I think its really good, as far as camera phone pictures go

this phone is great, i’ve had it for about 2 weeks now, i can watch movies, free music videos , download music to it, google maps, and voice comand, all great featiures, only issue is that it only holds about 5 or 6 full lenght songs.
So Tanisha what exactly are u trying to say. See if i have a 256 mb mmc in Palm Centro
i think i can put more songs in the phone. maybe 73 or more. Maybe your phone has a
128 mb or 32 mb mmc and the songs u put are approx 3 mb so it’s obvious that your
phone would store just 5 to 6 songs. But i think that even a 128 mb mmc would hold 40
songs.. The rest u tell me i would like to here from u as i am also planing to buy this
phone so advice me is it ok. I put songs and videos in my phone and i want the speakers
of the phone should be a bit loud and videos a bit clear as my nokia
So im getting one of these phones but can you send ringtones threw blue tooth?

ya i love love LOVE this phone its rlly cool but don’t get to exited about the touch screen…it doesn’t work that well but its still cool. but does an1 know if it can downlode music???????
