iPhone 5c 3D printable cases incoming with bigger bubbles [UPDATE]

Supposing you saw the iPhone 5c and didn't find Apple's own official cases to be appealing as you'd wished, this week you may be in luck. Industrial Designer and 3D illustrator Martin Hajek has created a set of NURBS models for customization of this basic case, allowing users to get creative as they please. The first thing Hajek did was to open up the center column of holes along the backside of the iPhone 5c case to reveal the iPhone logo.

Konami Code easter egg discovered on Google’s Chromebook Pixel

The Chromebook Pixel has been talked about in regards to specs and pricing, however it would appear as if there is also a rather interesting easter egg. This one deals with the Konami Code and interestingly enough, this is not the first time Google has hidden a Konami Code easter egg in one of their products. Way back in mid-2008 Google Reader had one that greeted you with “Moshi moshi” and marked all your feeds with 30 unread items.

SlashGear Evening Wrap-Up: December 4, 2012

Welcome to Tuesday evening everyone. Today we found out that nightly builds to CyanogenMod 10.1 are ready to go for the Nexus 10, which comes just a short time after nightlies started rolling out for the Nexus 4. IDC said today that Android will likely stay on top in the battle for mobile dominance until 2016, with iOS placing in second throughout, so it looks like the mobile landscape won't be changing all that much in the coming years. Verizon is set to begin rolling out targeted ad campaigns this week, but you'll only see those ads if you give Verizon permission.

SlashGear Evening Wrap-Up: October 5, 2012

We've arrived at another Friday evening, which means that the weekend lies ahead. Today, as many of you probably already know, was the one-year anniversary of the passing of Steve Jobs. Apple paid tribute to Jobs in a new video released today, and it was announced that three modified MacBook Pros will be auctioned off in memory of Jobs. On the lighter side of things, Lenovo is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the ThinkPad with a look back through time, and Samsung's profits for Q3 2013 managed to break company records (not an easy thing to do, considering how popular Samsung is).
