OnePlus drops invite system, sort of

Though the strategy seems to have worked great for the OnePlus team thus far, they've begun letting their guard down, just a bit. The invite system will be stoppered for just a few Tuesdays, that is to say. Starting on February 10th, the OnePlus One will be offered up for sale in two editions. Two rather specific editions, one with 64GB of internal storage and a Sandstone Black exterior, the other with 16GB of internal storage space and a "Silk White" exterior.

This OnePlus sales system will start at 12:00 AM PST on Tuesday, the 10th of February. That's tomorrow – or just over 12 hours from now, depending on when you're reading this article.

For those of you that've never seen the OnePlus One before, have a peek at our OnePlus archives. This device is high quality and less-than-super-expensive, and a unique package from top to bottom without a doubt.

Build quality seems solid, software is nice – and unique – and this device has gotten so few bad reviews that we're surprised the company isn't blowing up.

Let us know if you're diving in with the $300 smartphone to beat, and make sure you decide on which unit you're going for based on storage size, not on color.

There's a big difference between 16GB and 64GB when it comes down to it. Especially when you have no expandable storage options.
