Nokia's E72 has finally begun shipping, having been announced all the way back in June.  The much-anticipated follow-up to the Nokia E71, the E72 is an unashamedly email-centric smartphone, with a full QWERTY keyboard and optical trackpad; running S60, Nokia have added in IM support from the homescreen together with a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash.

We grabbed an E72 after our trip to Nokia's The Way We Live Next 3.0 conference in Helsinki last week, promptly unboxing it on video and sharing some first impressions.  As you'd hope, the E72's QWERTY keyboard is incredibly usable and tactile, and while the tictac-sized keys may be compact and closely-spaced, their shape and feel add up to a speedy typing experience.

Nokia say the E72 will be priced at around €350 pre-taxes ($524), though right now there doesn't appear to be much in the way of online availability.  Amazon's pre-order page is yet to be updated to indicate the smartphone is shipping, while Nokia's product page doesn't even mention a pre-order option.  We'll have our full review up of the E72 later this week.
