After the price leaked earlier on today, the Nikon D700 release date seems to have emerged too.  Courtesy of online retailer Digital Depot, it now looks like the 12.1-megapixel DSLR will launch on Monday 30th June.

“Nikon will be announcing the new Nikon D700 on Monday 30th June! Check back soon for details, images and specifications” Digital Depot

Piecing together the news, it suggests that you’ll be able to pick up the D700 in just four days time, priced at around $3,477.  Of course, there’s no confirmation of specs, what you get for your money, or even if those scant details are legitimate; remember, Nikon themselves are yet to even announce the camera.

Rumors suggest the D700 has Nikon’s EXPEED image processor, 14-bit A/D conversion and 16-bit image processing.  The body is supposedly made from magnesium alloy.
