Nextbook Ares 11 Android tablet launches

A new tablet has launched from E Fun called the Nextbook Ares 11 Android 2-in-1 tablet. This is the first Android 2-in-1 tablet from the E Fun brand and it has an 11.6-inch screen that has a detachable keyboard. The device falls between a tablet and a notebook in size and functionality. The detachable keyboard is backlit for working in low light conditions.

Android 5.0 is installed out of the box and that detachable keyboard has a pair of standard USB ports. The screen has a resolution of 1366 x 768. The processor inside is an Intel Atom quad-core Z3735F running at 1.8GHz paired with 1GB of RAM. Internal storage is 64GB.

Storage can be expanded via microSD cards up to 64GB in capacity. Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi are integrated. The front and rear cameras are both 2.0MP each. Connectivity includes miniHDMI and a microUSB port. Power comes from a 9000mAh internal battery.

The 11.6-inch screen has an aspect ratio of 16:9. This should be a nice tablet for work and play thanks to the portable size, HD resolution, and backlit keyboard. The new tablet is available right now at Walmart stores around the country for $197.
