New Samsung R700 17″ notebook

So Samsung has a new notebook to add to their repertoire with a 17-inch screen at a native resolution of 1440×900. The best part is what drives that display, an nVidia GeForce 8400 GS or GT.

There is an HDMI port and a built in 1.3MP webcam as well. For connectivity there is a gigabit Ethernet jack, Bluetooth 2.0, and WiFi a/b/g.

On top of that you can add 4 USB ports, a serial port, and a 7-in-1 card reader. The best part, at least for a 17” notebook, is that the battery apparently lasts 3 hours, and, the whole thing only weight 3.18 kilos. You’ll be able to pick one of these up with Vista Home Premium for about $900.
