New Millennium Falcon, Tie Fighter wireless Bluetooth speakers debut

Just in time for Episode VII: The Force Awakens — well, actually, with plenty of time before the movie the hits theaters — a new pair of Star Wars-themed wireless speakers have arrived courtesy of iHome. Available from ThinkGeek starting today for $60 each are the Millennium Falcon and Tie Fighter speakers, both supporting Bluetooth and the ability to stream music from 30 feet away. And when you're not blasting the Star Wars soundtrack through them, they can even be used as a speakerphone for calls.

The officially-licensed pair are definitely on par with action figure or display model quality, each coming with an acrylic stand to hold them up. Both the Millennium Falcon and Tie Fighter light up when in use, and in addition to connecting to any Bluetooth audio source, they can also work with a cable thanks to the standard 3.5mm headphone jack.

There's a rechargeable battery inside, offering up to 8 hours of use, but it can continue to be used when charging via a micro USB cable. The speakers are also a decent size for desktop figures with an actual purpose; the Millennium Falcon measures 10.4 x 7.2 x 9.5 inches, and the Tie Fighter is 9.2 x 6.2 x 10.9 inches.

If neither of these ships interest you, or if you must have the full set, iHome has an earlier speaker model of the Death Star. Also priced at $60, it has the same Bluetooth connectivity and other features as the previous two, along with lighting up while in use.
