New Huawei P9 prototype image leaks

A new photo has leaked online that claims to be the Huawei P9. This isn't a naked device mind you, but rather it appears to be crammed inside a cheap case of some sort. Many had expected the Huawei P9 to be unveiled at MWC, but that didn't happen and it is now expected to get official next month. This new leaked photo was posted on Weibo and the person who leaked heavily edit the photo with grey blurs.

The leaker has since disabled the Weibo account used, but the image was already grabbed or posterity. The image shows dual camera sensors on the rear and the new images also shows a finger print sensor on the rear as well. This new leaked image isn't the first time leaks about the device have surfaced.

Previous rumors suggest that the smartphone has a 5.2-inch screen with resolution of 2560 x 1440. The chip is tipped as a Kirin 950 mated with 4GB of RAM with graphics handled by a Mali-T880, internal storage is 64GB. Other tidbits we know from previous leaks include a laser assist autofocus system.

Previously leaked photos indicate that the device will be offered in gold, white, pink, and silver colors. Power is expected to be a 2900 mAh internal battery and the camera sensors is thought to be an 12MP rear and 8MP front. We expect to see more leaks in the lead up to the official unveil of the device in the coming days and will be on the lookout for additional details.
