There is a modder from Russia that took an old Microsoft mouse and cut about 90% of the plastic in favor of pure, cold, hard, stainless steel. I must admit, this mouse is a thing of beauty.

The guy took this mod all the way, he didn’t stop with the part of the mouse that actually goes in your hand, no, even the USB connector had been modded with a steel end and when you wrap up the cable, there is a steel clip that holds the bundle together. The guy even made a custom case in the same design as this mouse and its custom fitted for the mouse.

Steel isn’t cheap, so my guess is neither was the mod. Probably the only downside of this amazing looking mouse is the fact that it probably weighs a ton, I probably would have put bearings or something on the bottom to help keep it easy to move.
