So this cheap knockoff, the Qkfone G998, has the Mercedes logo smack dab in the middle of the D-Pad on the front, but Mercedes never asked for such a (dis-) honor. Its not an entirely bad phone though sporting dual-band GSM, dedicated gaming and music controls, and a 2MP camera.

This phone has also adopted the ever popular candy bar form factor that opens up to reveal a second screen and buttons. Which, as I am sure you’ve come to the conclusion of, means there are dual displays with the inner one apparently being the larger of the two.

There is also 1GB of internal memory, Bluetooth 2.0, and the Pocket PC OS. The internal screen seems to be where the dedicated music and gaming controls are located, so maybe they were hoping to get in on some of that Nintendo DS action with the built in gaming functionality. No word on price or availability though.
