LG G Pro Lite features 5.5-inch screen and 3140 mAh battery

LG has gone official with the new LG G Pro Lite smartphone. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch screenwith a resolution of 960 x 540, and it has some of the same hardware found in the LG Optimus G Pro. We reviewed the LG Optimus G Pro in May. One of the key features is the large battery, which should give the device and impressively long run time.

The battery is a 3140 mAh unit and the smartphone features an embedded Stylus Pen. LG also equips the device with dual SIM slots and a dedicated hotkey for switching cards. The 5.5-inch screen is highlighted by a narrow bezel and the phone is designed to be slim enough to use one-handed.

The Stylus Pen allows users to enter handwriting into the smartphone and the pen can be stored in a slot on top of the device. The G Pro Lite also features dual speakers provide high-quality audio without having to wear headphones. The smartphone runs Android 4.1.2 for the operating system.

LG also equipped the phone with its UX features including KnockOn and others. Other hardware specifications include a 1 GHz MT6577 dual core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of ROM, and a memory card slot for expansion. The rear camera is an eight-megapixel unit with a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front. The smartphone also has Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS, and Wi-Fi Direct. The phone will debut this month in Latin America followed by Asia, Russia, China, India, and the Middle East. Pricing is unannounced this time.
