Jenn-Air smart oven to include smartphone control

Jenn-Air has unveiled its new upcoming dual convection wall oven, a smart offering bid as the maker's first appliance with wireless connectivity and a related mobile app. According to Jenn-Air, its new oven brings with it some technology that's an industry first, giving consumers a never-before-available option when it comes to their stove. The smart oven won't be arriving until this upcoming September and there's no word on the pricing yet, but we do have a run down of all the features for you after the jump!

The Jenn-Air smart oven will feature a 7-inch color touchscreen, as well as a slider feature that will be under the glass, letting the cook adjust the oven's temperature by sliding a finger rather than pressing a button. The wireless connectivity works in conjunction with the oven's Android and iOS app, lending both smartphone and tablet control.

The related Culinary Center offers settings access, cooking programs and guidance, in excess of thirty food options, illustrations for showing about where the dish is in the cooking process, different cooking modes, and more. The oven has a total of 6800 watts, convection elements with fans, a broiler, and more.

This isn't the first smart oven we've seen in recent times, and it looks like that particular industry will be soon embracing smart techology as a staple offering. Electrolux just recently announced that its previously debuted smart oven concept will become a reality, with its particular oven being set to debut later on this year as well.
