No, the Itronix heavy-duty, military grade GoBook XR-1 may not survive a direct hit from a bazooka or make out uncrushed from under a tank – but it’s going to be pretty damn tough to rough up this laptop. This rugged laptop features up to three wireless systems including WWAM, built-in GPS, and “meets MIL STD 810F (military standard rating for drops, shock, vibration and the IP54 (ingress protection).” The laptop is heavier than your standard mom and pop laptops. And the price for the base configuration is also heavy on the expensive side – starting at $4,330.
