Apple hasn’t actually said that the 2nd-generation iPad will arrive in the new year, but the consensus has been that an iPad 2 is most definitely on the agenda complete with FaceTime camera and perhaps even a Retina Display screen. Now DigiTimes is claiming Ibiden, Tripod Technology and TTM Technologies have been signed up to produce PCBs for the iPad 2nd-gen, with small quantities of boards shipping in December 2010 before mass production in February 2011.

That would lead, the sources suggest, to a late Q1 2011 retail launch. The three leaked suppliers would be joined by a further four PCB manufacturers during mass production, to meet Apple’s predicted demand, but Ibiden, Tripod Technology and TTM Technologies are the first to achieve Apple’s certification.
