HTC teases more than just a phone for MWC event

All this dust-up over HTC's new One handset seems to have no effect on the company. While you'd assume their leaked handset would annoy or anger them, they really don't seem phased at all. In fact, their global communications boss says it's small potatoes compared to the rest of what they're ready to roll out. What that might be — nobody knows. We've all got suspicions, but HTC definitely has something up their sleeve for MWC this March. Any guesses?

Jeff Gordon, who heads up HTC's communications arm, had the following to say about the leaks via Twitter:

The best part of HTC's March 1st launch event are the parts you have NO IDEA are coming.

His emphasis, not ours.

There's a lot to break out of that one. Parts? Are there multiple items HTC is launching we're not aware of?

We've long suspected a wearable was incoming, so it's possible HTC has two ready for us — a fitness band and a true smartwatch. It's also very realistic we'd see some interesting new phone, maybe one that will rival Motorola's Moto E in features/price.

But let's be as clear as Jeff — we don't know what's coming. It's speculative to guess, but that's part of the fun, right? We've heard rumblings the One M9 leaks were purposeful, meant to lead the dogs sniffing down the wrong path. If that's true, HTC's gambit may have worked out well.

Because we don't know anything besides what's already been leaked. So, again — any guesses?
