HTC One X9 prototype spied in the flesh (again)

The HTC One X9 hasn't exactly been a closely guarded secret. The device has passed through TENAA in China resulting in a close look at most facets of the device. HTC hasn't yet made the smartphone official, so the leaks are still coming strong. The latest round of leaks are some shots of an engineering unit that have turned up online.

The version that we saw at TENAA was mostly black and the engineering unit seen here is white. Certainly multiple colors will be offered. The Android controls are not real buttons, but are touch sensitive areas like so many phones offer.

There isn't much other than the color and what appears to be a lighter metal back that differs in these images from what we saw previously. The rear camera appears to have dual LED flash. There was no new word on specifications in this round of image leaks.

Previous leaks show that the HTC One X9 uses a 5.5-inch full HD resolution screen. The processor is tipped to be an 8-core unit and the rear camera is said to be 13MP. Integrated storage is 16GB with 2GB of RAM and support for memory cards up to 1TB. Launch is expected in early 2016 with no confirmation from HTC at this time.
