HP TouchPad 32GB To Hit Walmart For $599

The HP TouchPad is set to launch sometime this summer, but so far HP's kept pretty quiet on the details. A leaked lineup sheet back in March revealed that the TouchPad may arrive sometime in June with prices that correspond to those of the iPad 2. Today, a leaked screenshot of a Walmart inventory page shows that its pricing remains the same and that various accessories will also be available.

Walmart will be selling the 32GB WiFi-only version of the HP TouchPad for $599. Walmart will also be carrying a TouchPad-specific Touchstone Dock/Stand for $79.88. The dock/stand will be powerful charger that has two sets of inductive charging and communication coils. Other accessories include a webOS Bluetooth keyboard for $69.88, and an official TouchPad protective case for $49.88.

The HP TouchPad will sport a 9.7-inch 1024x 768 resolution touchscreen, running on a 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor, but with only a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera. Not having a rear-facing camera at this point in the tablet market seems a bit odd, but they must be wagering on the enthusiasm for its webOS platform.
