So yesterday the news was that Stefan Eriksson was freed from his US prison confines. His ass was being deported though because he is no longer welcome on US soil.

gizmondo-rising-again-2008

Too bad that doesn’t include his crappy electronic device that he capitalized on, the Gizmondo. I didn’t feel him being released was newsworthy, so I didn’t say anything, but with this new Gizmondo teaser site, it looks like the man and the legend(ary failure) might both be making a comeback.

If its really coming, it will be more service based and will land during the Christmas season this year (so in a couple months? Christmas creep is a bitch like that). There will be a live marketplace, I presume that will be a rip off from what Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony have perfected, and the device will apparently be $100, then the marketplace will be where you can buy open-source games for the device. Oh, and there will be “psychic worlds”.
