Admit it, you looked at the new Eee PC 1002HA and thought “meh, more wannabe-luxury”.  What you really want is this Hello Kitty themed netbook, based on the Sotec DC10 but with the added sparkle of everyone’s favorite cat.  Available now as a limited edition, the netbook has exclusive Hello Kitty wallpaper and casing artwork.

Under the specially-patterned hood there’s the usual 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM, Intel 945GSE Express chipset and 120GB hard-drive.  In fact with the lid up, it all looks pretty non-Kitty, to be honest.

Of course, when “limited edition” or “Hello Kitty” get together, you know it’s unlikely to be cheap.  The Sotec C101K3W Hello Kitty Netbook is priced at $890.95 in the US.  All of a sudden “wannabe-luxury” is looking more appealing…

This is too cute! I would buy this just because of the name brand! Since I was a child I have always loved Hello Kitty! such an icon! and now as an adult I still love it! I have never heard of this brand before though?
