I know many of you have boatloads of questions about the Helio Ocean.  Please check back later night at 11PM PST for the review, walking you through the ins and outs of the Ocean, including videos of the UI.

I promise to do my best to answer all the questions that came in and more.  Meanwhile have a quick glance at a side-by-side comparison between the Helio Ocean, the Treo 755p and its closest competitor – the T-Mobile Sidekick.

Helio Ocean vs Sidekick 3 and Treo 755w

Helio Ocean vs Sidekick 3 and Treo 755w

As you can see, based on physical observation, the Ocean is roughly the same thickness and width compared to the Treo 755p and Sidekick 3.  However, length wise, it’s much shorter than the Sidekick 3 and on par with the 755p.

Make sure to check back for more a full review tonight at 11pm PST.

    I can’t wait for the review! I am curious about the sound. Can you put our own mp3s to play as ringers or for the alarm(that is if the phone has an alarm) Also does the alarm still function if you turn off your cell phone.? Also, how is the loudness of the speaker in regards to a ringtones(good enough to hear in a busy city street??)? When one is on the IM programs, can one appear invisible to see who is on and not on? How is the service of these phones? Does one always need to be near a city for it to have great reception or does it work well outside the big cities?
    Thx
    G

    The new Ocean’s launched on Friday, and I came across a promotional code to save some serious green when you go to buy it.

    ==> $75 off the $295 pricetag
    ==> $30 Activation Fee waived
    ==> $25 off first four months of service ($100 total)

    Go to the Helio website and use the promo code B2BDGOD

    I ordered my Ocean on Friday and got it this morning… and it’s awesome!

    Just got an ocean…195 over phone…it is the best phone I have ever had, it does almost anything any other phone/devise could do (almost because Pocket PC’s have OS’s, Helio is still technically a phone, not a computer). The only problem I had, and it was minute, was that the # and * keys are in the rounded edge of the phone, and they can be a little difficult to find if you arent looking at the phone…the phone is amazingly stalbe, no wiggling, and the phone extras are sooo friggin cool. I had my doubts before I got it, but now that I do, it is The #3 Piece of mobile equipment i have, falling just below my Alienware Laptop(1) and my Archos 604Wifi(2). I recommend you check out these products as well.
