Google Nexus 7 2013 Available in the UK and Japan Now

If you're anything like us, you've been counting the days until you can get your hands on the new 2013 version of the Google Nexus 7 tablet in the UK. Android tablet fans in the UK have something to be excited about as August 28 is here and the tablet is now available in the land of crumpet and crown, replete with an improved display and a faster processor.

The launch of the new version of the Nexus 7 today comes about a month after the tablet launched in the United States. The Yanks may have been playing with their fancy new tablets for a while, but at least fans in the UK can now get their hands on both the 16 GB and the 32 GB versions of the Nexus 7 2013. Pricing for the tablet starts at £199.99.

Google tablet fans in the US and UK aren't the only countries able to enjoy the new Nexus 7 as of today, Japanese tablet fans can also now get the 2013 version. If you're unfamiliar with the tablet, you can certainly check out our full review from back in July when the tablet first landed in our geeky little hands. We also have a Nexus 7 2013 walk-through video, which you can see below.

The new Nexus 7 starts at 199.99 GBP for the 16 GB version with the 32 GB version costing 239.99 GBP in the UK. Those amounts do represent a price increase compared to the old versions of the tablet, but the improved specifications will be worth the price bump for most people. It's also worth noting that the previously leaked 32 GB LTE version of the tablet is not yet available in Japan. That particular version of the tablet is still expected in mid-September in Japan and hopefully other countries shortly thereafter.
