Galaxy A8 (2016) specs tipped on Geekbench

We have already heard quite a bit about the Galaxy A8 even though it hasn't officially launched just yet. The smartphone has been leaked several times and we have seen a bunch of images already as well. This time out the smartphone has crossed Geekbench and the specifications of the smartphone were gleaned during its time there.

We know from a previous run through GFXBench that the Galaxy A8 (2016) smartphone will carry model number SM-A810. It will have a 5.1-inch Full HD screen with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of integrated storage. The processor is an Exynos 7420 octa-core unit. The operating system on this particular device was Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

The smartphone has a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP front unit. The latest run through Geekbench shows a model number of SM-A810F, presumed to be the same device carrying a different model number. Perhaps for a different market or a different carrier than the device we saw before.

The other specifications are listed as exactly the same that we saw on GFXbench in the past. This will be a solid mid-range device that bridges the gap between the entry-level Samsung devices and its high-end Galaxy Note phablet. The Galaxy Note 7 launched recently and we have spent time with the smartphone figuring out how well it works for most folks. A version of the Note 7 with more storage and RAM is tipped for China. That device is expected to carry 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Samsung says that with other Chinese offerings packing that much storage and RAM, it's important for the Note 7 to match up spec wise. It's unclear if that hopped up version of the smartphone will land outside of China.
