Epson offers new app for direct printing from Android smartphones and tablets

Epson has offered an app for iOS devices called PrintJinni for almost a year now to allow the smartphone user to print photos and other items using the smartphone. Epson has now announced that it has a new app on the Android Market that will allow the Android smartphone or tablet user to print directly from their device as well. The Android app is the called Android iPrint.

Users with the app installed can print to any Epson wireless AIO printer. In addition to printing documents and photos from the smartphone, the app will also allow the printing of content from cloud services like Box.net, Dropbox, and Evernote. Users can also print web pages and configure the print options from the app.

Advanced printing options on the app include the ability to choose and print multiple photos at one time. Printing from the phone with or without borders is supported on photos. Users can also choose different scanning resolutions and image types and optimize the print quality. The app is on the Android Market right now for download.
