Blu Vivo IV promises luxury, durability

Joining the newly announced Life 8 is a higher-end smartphone, the Blu VIVO IV. This handset expands the company's VIVO series, and promises both luxury and durability, with Blu boasting that its latest phone is composed 98-percent of glass and aluminum. As with its other phones, the VIVO IV is sold unlocked.

The VIVO IV features a 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. With this comes the same processor as the Life 8, a MediaTek octa-core MT6592 1.7GHz offering with a Mali450-MP4 graphics core. The memory and storage is higher at 2GB/16GB.

Sensors, connectivity, and operating system are also the same as the Life 8. The camera is a better offering, however, with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash (video recording is 1080p@30fps), and there's a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for those ever-important selfies.

The design is perhaps the handset's biggest bragging point — the unit is thin at 5.5mm, and is durable by its nature. The device is made from a single block of aluminum, and is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass on the front and back. The phone is available now in White-Silver, Rose Gold, and Black for $299 USD.
