Audi TT Clubsport concept lets all 592hp wail

One of the most exciting things that Audi has unveiled in a long time is the TT Clubsport that we talked about early this month. For now, the car is only a concept and we don't know if it will ever be offered for sale to the public. Audi hasn't said that it will build this slick little concept just yet, but the company has said that all of the hardware used in the car is close to production ready.

Near production ready might mean if there is enough demand from fans with pockets deep enough to buy one, Audi just might build it. The first time we saw this car, we didn't get anything but photos. Now Audi has offered up a video of the car during its premiere at Worthersee 2015.

The video shows a grey version of the car screaming down the tarmac with all 592hp on point. That little 2.5L 5-cylinder biturbo engine sounds really good. If you missed the earlier story on this car, it has an unconventional biturbo system.

It has one standard exhaust gas powered turbo and a second electric turbo. That electric turbo or e-turbo is powered by a battery pack in the trunk of the car. The goal f that e-turbo is to produce boost at low rpm with no turbo lag. The normal turbo then kicks in and together they push the TT Clubsport from naught to 60 mph in 3.0 seconds.
