ASUS Zenbook UX305 QHD+ ultrabook boasts slimness

Keeping true to its Zen heritage, ASUS has introduced a new ultrabook dubbed the Zenbook UX305. According to the maker, this is the slimmest 13.3-inch ultrabook available with QHD+ resolution, measuring in at 12.3mm in thickness. Design is a strong focus with the laptop, with it including, among other things, diamond-cut metallic highlights.

The Zenbook UX305 has a 13.3-inch display with a resolution of 3200 x 1800 pixels offered alongside an Intel Core M processor and a 256GB solid-state drive. Given its ultrabook designation, the laptop weighs in at a slight 1.2kg/2.6lbs.

ASUS is slight on the specifications at this point, but we do know the ultrabook will be offered in the two design styles featured above. The darker of the two is the Obsidian Stone option, which ASUS says has a spun-metal finish; the lighter one, meanwhile, is the Ceramic Alloy color.

This is joined by some other recent products today, including the maker's first smartwatch, the ZenWatch, and another laptop, the EeeBook X205 11.6-inch laptop. There's no word on pricing or release date as of now.
