Asus CES 2014 teaser video hints at new dual boot device

Asus has a history of using teasers to hint at new products it will unveil. Ahead of Computex last spring, Asus was teasing a product showing close ups that hinted at a shiny metal exterior. Asus has a new teaser video that has turned up ahead of CES 2014 kicking off next month in Las Vegas.

This new teaser video doesn't show any close-ups of an actual product. Rather the video kicks off with the Statue of Liberty throwing a peace sign. Liberty then reaches over to her tablet and pulls it apart. The indication by this is that the product being teased is a convertible device that will split into two parts.

Presumably, this would be a device that can be a notebook and a tablet in one unit. The base section Liberty holds changes colors between blue and green. The hint there is that the device will run both Android and Windows operating systems.

As the second part of the tablet is removed and held in the torch hand, it also cycles between blue and green. The hint here is that both sections of this convertible dual boot device will run Android and Windows. No other details are offered other than CES January 6, 2014 launch date.
