Apple inventory adds two new iPhones, three new iPod touch devices

Apple's iPhone 5 unveiling called "Lets talk iPhone" is scheduled for October 4, and leading up to the major event is of course more speculation and clues as to what the company may have in store for everyone. According to a inside tip, Apple has updated its internal inventory system to include two new models of the iPhone and three new models of the iPod touch.

The two new models listed in the system for the iPhone don't seem to include the iPhone 5. Instead, they are likely the white and black versions of a slightly updated iPhone 4, possibly iPhone 4S, with the codename N90A. The iPhone 4 has the codename N90, whereas the iPhone 5 has been referenced to in the past as the N94, which hasn't shown up in the system yet.

The new iPod touch models have shown up with the codename N81A, also suggesting a minor step up from the previous generation model, which had a codename of N81. The three models could be for the different storage capacities of 8GB, 32GB, and 64GB. We'll find out for sure when we attend Apple's "Let's talk iPhone" event next Tuesday, October 4, so stay tuned for our live blog.
