Apple has best products coming later this year, iTunes chief says

Apple's got something major in the works, according to their iTunes and iCloud chief Eddy Cue. At the Code Conference this week, Cue said Apple has the best products he's seen in his quarter-century with the company coming later this year. That's a bold statement from a guy who's seen just about everything Apple's ever done."Later this year, we've got the best product pipeline that I've seen in my 25 years at Apple" Cue said, hinting at the release timeframe for whatever Apple has in store. His comments come on the heels of Tim Cook making similar overtures about what Apple has queued. It's bold commentary for a man who's seen Apple's history of products, ranging from the iMac to the iconic iPhone. His time there has also seen the birth of iTunes and the App Store, as well as iOS and OS X.

Saying the best of Apple is coming in 2014 has many industry folk wondering just what is on the way. Bigger iPhones are likely, but what of Apple TV? Is there an iWatch coming, as expected? Software additives like Healthbook are being discussed, and we're now hearing Apple has connected home ambitions. Their WWDC schedule offers little in the way of details, and is instead rife with mysterious innuendo and vague misdirections. Of course, Cue could just be saying the new products are great updates to current iterations.

If you think someone will be getting a sneak peek, though, you might be wrong. New Apple employee Jimmy Iovine said "When I go there they put tarps on everything. I'm not kidding." Looks like we'll have to wait to find out just what Cue is talking about.
