Amazon announces unlimited cloud storage plans --- yes, really

Here's the thing about cloud storage: you have to pre-determine how much storage you want. Sure, you can upgrade or downgrade, but sometimes not at the drop of a hat. Also, our needs change. One day you might be fine with 100GB of cloud storage, but that upcoming trip may see you needing a lot of room for your photos and videos. Rather than juggle different storage options, Amazon is just giving you unlimited storage. Starting today, Amazon will have two tiers of cloud storage, both offering unlimited upload.

Their first, dubbed the 'Unlimited Photos Plan', is $11.99/year. For about a dollar each month, you can store as many photos as you like in Amazon's cloud, with zero limitations. With this tier, Amazon is also giving you 5GB for video or other files.

If 5GB for 'other' stuff isn't enough, you can sign up for Amazon's 'Unlimited Everything Plan'. For $59.99/year, you get unlimited uploads. Of everything. All the time. No limits, whatsoever.

Both plans offer a three-month trial, so you get a full 90-days before you have to commit to anything.

What we're not really hearing is how Amazon is going to store info. Though we highly doubt anything will end up in cold storage, your documents could end up in the lukewarm medium between cold storage and in-your-face cloud storage. As we learned from Google recently, that level of storage isn't bad by any stretch, but it's not the ideal.

But hey, for $1 or $5 each month, you get unlimited cloud storage. That's pretty amazing. If you're interested, hit the source link below.
