24ct gold iPhone 6 available even before the iPhone 6

Things are about to get really crazy now that we're just counting down hours before Apple finally puts to rest all iPhone 6 leaks and rumors. Trying to beat others to the punch, luxury designer Alexander Amosu has started accepting pre-orders for what else but a 24 carat gold plated iPhone 6, way before we can even be sure what the iPhone 6 will really look like.

It will probably be a leap of faith to put in an order for this iPhone model, especially as there is still no certainty as to the real form and function of Apple's next flagship smartphone. It will be an expensive leap of faith, in fact, as this yellow and rose gold iPhone will set you back a good $2,399. Definitely only for someone who loves and believes in Apple through and through, no matter how the iPhone 6 turns out.

The product page says that gold plating processes used on Rolex watches will likewise be employed for this luxurious edition. Judging by the photos, it seems that Amosu will be accepting orders for both iPhone 6 sizes. Then again, judging by the quality of those photos, even Amosu probably isn't sure this is how the smartphones really look.

Of course, you don't have to click on that Buy button just yet. Amosu is even giving you time to make up your mind, offering a free Amosu leather case if you put in an order before September 12. For us mere mortals who might want to spend that amount on more important things, be sure to keep tabs on our Apple and iPhone 6 tag portals to make sure you get the latest scoop on the next iPhone, whether it comes in gold or not.
