ZTE unveils Grand X LTE T82 single-chip smartphone

ZTE Corporation has unveiled its latest smart phone, and its first single-chip LTE device. The smartphone is called the Grand X LTE (T82), and the device was unveiled at CommunicAsia2012. The smartphone will launch in Asia-Pacific and Europe in Q3 of 2012. Under the hood, the device uses the latest MSM8960 chip from QUALCOMM.

That chip uses advanced 0.28 nm technology and promises longer battery life and better performance thanks to having a single chip that is faster and more energy-efficient. The smartphone has integrated Wi-Fi and runs Android 4.0 as the operating system. The processor is a 1.5 GHz dual core unit, and the device has an eight-megapixel rear camera that supports full HD video recording.

The smartphone front camera supports 720p HD video calls. The LTE connectivity inside the phone supports downloads at up to 100 mbps and it has a 1900 mAh battery. Pricing is unannounced for the phone at this time. The company also showed off a new tablet called the V96A that will also come to Europe and Asia-Pacific in Q3. This tablet claims to be the world's first TD-LTE/EDGE multi-band UFi device.
